The Jos de Ridder Strain is built up with
Meulemans, Wigmans and Tournier.Jos de Ridder, Asperen
Winner National Blois section 7 and fastest of all sections
The fastest pigeon of the national 1-day fond- race out of Blois came home whit Jos de Ridder from Asperen. With 1424 m/m, he was with his 1st marked pigeon to fast for Leo Pluimen from Voerendaal and the combination Reedijk-Jongekrijg from Puttershoek. In the section 7 "Midden Nederland" he was also the 2nd fastest! Orné Hardeman from Breukelen was 3th.
It's already his 4th National NPO victory! This year already his 10th first prize.
What's his secret? It's very simple "do it". This is what counts. If it goes of; to find the best pigeons or to find the best method. You have "to do" it, never go with the flow. My pigeons go for everything, even when my grandchildren have their birthday I go at home on time. And even when I come home at 2 a.m. in the night, at 5.30 a.m. the first pigeon goes outside. This passion pays his own.
At 14.26 p.m. his first marked pigeon came in as a rocket bom. This pigeon came in with such a speed! Much time he didn't had to enjoy the moment. The other pigeons came in also very good: 14.26, 14.35, 14.39, 14.50, 14.51, 14.52, 14.53, 14.57, 15.01, 15.01, 15.02, 15.04, 15.04, 15.05, 15.06, 15.06, 15.08, 15.09, 15.09, 15.10,… From the 52 raced pigeons, more half won a prize. In the club 19 from the 20 prizepigeons are from Jos. In CCG he wins: 1-2-3-6-7-8-9-12-… In section 7: 1-2-4-14-15-19-22-… Can you race better?
The winners
The winning pigeon is "Wirramira" NL 5600483-06, a blue hen who was raced on widowhood. This hen has a very great temper. She is little and has a small long model but a very strong carcass, supple muscles and very soft feathers. On the loft she's always very alert, looking always very good and is feeling very well.
"Wirramira" didn't steel her very good results. Along mother site she's a g.child from the 2002 NPO winner of Etampes against 12.926 p. and so a g.g.child of the "Super couple" of Klinkhamer & zoon from Utrecht. Jos had 5 "'Teletekst pigeons" from this couple! Via this mother is "Wirramira" also a g.child from the "Flits" (3 x 1st , against more the 1000 pigeons (from Eijerkamp & zonen (Brummen)).
The father of "Wirramira" is from Antoon van Haaren from Heesch. It's a crossing from the origines Koopman C&G and Vercammen Jos. In this pedigree we find: "Deng Lin's Favorite" (Koopman; 1 Ablis 10609 p.), "Yasmine" (Vercammen; 8 x 1st) and the "Senna" (Vercammen; 3 x ace pigeon).
"Wirramira" won also this season already the 1st of Morlincourt against 20920 p. In 2007 she was Ace pigeon day-fond in the Club of Utrecht.
The 2nd pigeon is, the partner of "Wirramira". This cock "Pierre" NL 1740736-05 is direct from the champion Loed Senden from Berg en Terblijt and a full brother of his "Super 873" who won 2 first prizes. "Pierre" won already before this 2nd NPO, 24 prizes wherefrom the 1st of St.Quentin against 262 pigeons. He became in 2007 the 5th Ace pigeon old pigeons in CCG.
The 3th pigeon from Jos de Ridder won the 4th prize in section 7. This was also, on widowhood, raced hen with the name "Florentine" (NL 1846278-07). Her father is also coming from Loed Senden out of the same line as "Pierre". The mother is from Marijke Vink and is an inbreeding of "Kleine Dirk" from Koopman C&G. "Florentine" won in here life 12 prizes: 5 x 1/100 and 7 x 1/10!
Preparation and nursing.
Jos de Ridder coupled his racepigeons in February. The pigeons rased one round of youngsters and were seperated than. From this moment on, the widowhood was started. The fine tricks of this racing method he learned from Ber Willems from Maasmechelen. Jos: "I played already before with hens but it wasn't a succes". Since Ber 2 years ago his system explained, it goes like a spear.
The hens train 2 x times a day for 1 hour whit the flag. When we stop whit the flag the hens are coming in the loft within seconds. The hens are living in a loft with little chapels, so they can see eachother freely. Sitting on the ground is not possible because of rolls. The hens were darkenend during the day, you could just read the newspaper there. One week before Blois he stopped with this. Instead of this, they received more light with daylamps and this untill 23.00 p.m. The effect of this is that not one pigeon has moulted one feather. And this is ofcourse very good for the future of this season. Mostly the hens become feeded very poor but, with Jos, it isn't like this. 3 x a day they receive +/- 1 kg nutrition for 40 pigeons. And all grains are finished, but this is only possible when they train very hard. And this is what's they're doing. Last year the hens became also trained from Strombeek (trainingsflight) but because they're training so well this year, it's not necessary anymore. And he didn't picked up one egg, because of that. They become feeded with the "Koopman-all-in-one" mixture from Beijers.
Only the day of basketing he doesn't do this system. Than he feeds his pigeon in the morning on the normal way. In the noon they receive candyseed and peanuts. Than the different sexes become put together 2 hours before basketing. The hens were raced every week from the beginning of the season. The cocks had inbetween one week of rest.
As nutritionsupplement the pigeons get on Monday and Thuesday "Vior", an organic acid, in their drinkingwater. By arrival the pigeons get their normal portion of food. It becomes moistened with a mixture of garlic, white onions (more sugar than normal onions) and a little bit of gin. Whit the nutrition he mixes brewers yeast. It gives the pigeons more resistance.
Jos de Ridder learned about the pigeons-method from father and son Klinkhamer from Utrecht. Jos: "Theo Klinkhamer always said: you have to follow your system always." "Also when it goes one week not so good..". Sundaymorning you can see on their dung how their health is. Are they fine, don't go to the vet. In the beginning of the racingseason he went with his pigeons to a Belgium Vet for a bacteriological investigation. And he learned from that, that his pigeons were in a very good health. During the racingseason he goes to Dr. Van der Sluis and Dr. De Weert for a dung investigation and a throat investigation. Untill now they didn't had an infection, so no medicines untill now.
Conclusion
Jos de Ridder is a very busy pigeonfancier. He's also very occupied for different organisations, so it has to be a very strong man. And he races very good, unbelievable… His wife "Marijke" is supporting him very well.. without her this succes was not possible. Everyone dreams from a worldresult of Blois, but dreams are an optical illusion but not this time ! …
