Introduction,
I am Rieks Lonsain, born in 1978 in Staphorst.Sinds the 14th of August I am still living in Nieuwleusen with my wife Hendrikje. I have my own business as a stonemason. Because I had some pigeons flying around I came in contact with the sport of racing pigeons. In 1993 I joined the fancierclub "PV de Streekvlieger" in Staphorst. At first I played my birds, as anyone probably will do, on different distances, from 100 - 1000 km, but my heart went out to playing long distance races so in the year 2000 I decided to specialise.
Here in Nieuwleusen I go to specialise on de ZLU flights . The yearlings goes in 2010 on the one day flyths to 720 km . As the are two years old the go to Bordeaux 996 km , Marseille 1040 km or Narbonne 1056 km . When the are three years old than they go to Pau 1143 km, Tarbes 1142 km or Perpignan 1143 km . When the pigeons are four years old than some of them go to Barcelona 1290 km. |
